If you've never used a prediction market before, this guide gets you to your first trade as fast as possible. No prior trading experience needed.

✅ Fast Start Checklist

Before you begin, run through this:

• [ ] Go to maiga.markets and click on ‘Predict Now’

• [ ] Sign in via Google or Connect Wallet

• [ ] Your MPC wallet will be automatically created for you

• [ ] Claim your faucet credits

• [ ] Pick one market and place your first trade

That's the whole flow. The steps below walk you through each one.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Step 1 — Sign In

Go to predict.maiga.markets. You'll see two options:

• Continue with Google — fastest option, no crypto setup needed

• Connect Wallet — connect any of your web3 wallet 

Either way, an MPC wallet is created for you automatically. You're ready to trade right after signing in.

Step 2 — Claim Your Credit

During testnet users can claim free faucet credits for trading. To claim:

• Click Claim Faucet from the top bar or your Portfolio

• You'll receive 100 credit (in Game USD)

• Cooldown: 4 hours between claims

• Claiming pauses if your balance exceeds 1,000 Credit

Set a reminder every 4 hours so you never miss a claim.

Step 3 — Choose Your Market

Head to All Markets. For your first trade, you can start with the 5-Min market — it's a comfortable pace for beginners. Not too fast, not too long to wait for a result.

But if you prefer markets that resolve quickly, and you decide quickly, then the 1-min market is for you.

Step 4 — Place Your First Trade

Once you open a market:

1. Choose Up or Down — will the price be higher or lower than the opening price when the market closes?

2. Enter your stake — start small, use the $2 or $5 button

3. Check "To Win" — your exact payout is shown before you confirm

4. Click Buy Up or Buy Down

Done. Your trade executes instantly.

Note: Trading closes in the final 10 seconds of each market. If you miss the window, just wait for the next market to open.

Step 5 — Sell Option: Exit Early (Optional)

You don’t always need to wait for market settlement. If available, you can use the Sell option to close your position early.

How it works:

• Maiga re-quotes your position based on current market conditions (time left, price movement, volatility)

• You review the cash-out quote

• If you accept, your position closes immediately

When to use it: lock in profit early, reduce exposure, or stay flexible when conditions shift fast. Use it when your plan says to — not when emotions do.

Step 6 — Track Your Outcome

After the market settles, head to your Portfolio:

• Positions tab — open and live trades

• History tab — all settled trades and results

• Profit/Loss — your trading performance at a glance

Make it a habit to review your history after each trade. It's the fastest way to learn what works.
